Advocacy Work
Across Canada, children and youth living with Long COVID are facing persistent, complex illness – yet access to coordinated, evidence-based biomedical care remains limited. Despite emerging research, too many families are navigating fragmented systems without clear diagnostic pathways, acknowledgement of Long COVID, and effective treatment options. The Children’s Long COVID Network (CLCN) has launched a national petition calling on the federal government to take urgent action - to ensure children and youth with Long COVID can access effective diagnostic testing, biomedical evaluation, and appropriate, safe care. This is where advocacy meets research, and where the voices of children, families, and clinicians must unite. Siloed care cannot happen; our young patient need integrated, accessible, and compassionate care pathways through an interdisciplinary lens that reflect evolving science of Long COVID.We are honored that the Canadian COVID Society has endorsed this petition, amplifying the call for evidence-based, interdisciplinary care. Please take a moment to sign and share this petition: https://www.change.org/p/demand-federal-action-on-biomedical-care-for-children-living-with-long-covid
